The latter will stay in history as one of the most influential and inspiring commencement speeches ever. One that all of us should listen to.

The speech is about the important difference between gifts and choice we have to make. To be clever is a gift, while being polite with others is a choice you make. Your character is formed not by the gifts you have received at birth, but by the choices you make while living your life. We are what we choose!
